Bernard "Bernie" Barges is the deuteragonist of Watch My Chops!. He is Corneil's dogsitter who goes to high school.
Description[]
Bernie is Corneil's dog sitter. He is a high school senior and is always getting detention because of his own laziness and occasionally, Corneil's actions. He still does care for Corneil. Bernie is lazy and hates it when he doesn't get his way. Bernie is Uncle Rico's nephew, but sadly, we never learn the whereabouts of his parents. He is the only person who Corneil speaks to, and therefore has the task of keeping Corneil's incredible intellect a secret.
Personality[]
Bernie is quite arrogant and not very bright. However, in a number of episodes, he is shown as nice and easy-going. Bernie gets stressed and scared in tough situations, and can get very angry in some cases. He and Corneil often get into many arguments and disagreements, many of which Corneil wins. Bernie is eager to impress people, which often leads him to voluntarily take on tasks he can't handle, such as running errands or planning events for John and Beth, Corneil's owners. He also attempts to impress Romeo, and will put other events aside in order to impress or compete with him. Despite his negative traits, John and Beth have a lot of trust in Bernie, and Corneil sees him as a friend.

Bernie wears a orange gilet jacket, blue long-sleeve shirt, green pants and plain pale blue shoes. His hair is spiky and blue.
